The 93rd Academy Awards, popularly known as the Oscars, are awards for artistic and technical merit in the film industry. Given annually by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the awards are an international recognition of excellence in cinematic achievements, as assessed by the Academy’s voting membership. The ceremony will be held on 25 April 2021 where it will honour the best films released between January 2020 and February 2021

The annual awards night will welcome some of the most accomplished artists, filmmakers and executives working in film to the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, to celebrate an incredible year of achievement in film making.

This coming Oscars, which will be televised live on the ABC Television Network in more than 225 countries and territories worldwide, will also coincide with the opening of the new Academy Museum, the world’s premier institution dedicated to the art and science of movies. It will mark a historic moment, gathering movie fans around the world to unite through cinema.
