The Cessna 525 CitationJet is a light jet developed and built by Cessna Aircraft Company in the USA.

Introduced in 1989, the Cessna 525 CitationJet first flew on 29th April 1991 with deliveries commencing in 1993. Since then, the original CitationJet has seen over 1,400 deliveries globally (including the CitationJet 1 and 1+) and over 2,000 deliveries including subsequent variants of the Cessna 525 family.

Following the success of the CitationJet, Cessna went on to develop the CitationJet 1 and CitationJet 1+, which between them feature a greater maximum takeoff weight, upgraded avionics suites and full authority digital engine control (FADEC).

Development of the Cessna 525 CitationJet also formed the base design of the rest of the CitationJet family, including the larger CitationJet 2, 3 and 4 models.

The Eclipse 500 and 550 are very light jets originally developed and built by Eclipse Aerospace and later ONE Aviation in the USA.

Introduced in 1997, the Eclipse 500 became the world’s very first aircraft in the very light jet (VLJ) category of private aircraft. The Eclipse 500 first flew in August 2002 with deliveries of the landmark aircraft commencing in January 2007. Since then, the Eclipse 500 has seen more than 250 deliveries globally.

In 2011, Eclipse Aerospace announced the development of its new-build Eclipse 550. The new model featured improved avionics and an enhanced vision system (EVS), which utilises an image sensor to display a clearer image of the aircraft’s surroundings to its flight crew.

The Embraer EMB-500 ‘Phenom 100’ is a very light jet, developed and built by Brazilian manufacturer Embraer.

Launched in 2005, the Phenom 100 first flew on 26th July 2007 with deliveries commencing on 24th December 2008.

In 2011, Embraer opened a second Phenom production line in Melbourne, Florida to fulfil demand. During 2016, the Melbourne facility became the sole production line of Phenom 100 aircraft alongside the larger Phenom 300.

The Phenom 100 can seat up to five passengers in club configuration, making it a perfect aircraft for those shorter distance business or pleasure flights.

The Honda HA-420 HondaJet is a very light jet, developed and built by American manufacturer Honda Aircraft Company.

The design process for the HondaJet began in 1997, with the first aircraft flying on 3rd December 2003. Deliveries of the HondaJet commenced in December 2015 and the aircraft still remains in production to date, albeit through its faster and quieter successor, the HondaJet Elite.

The HondaJet can seat up to five passengers in club configuration, making it a perfect aircraft for those shorter distance business or pleasure flights.

The Cessna model 510 ‘Citation Mustang’ is a very light jet (VLJ) developed and built by Cessna Aircraft Company in the United States.

Introduced in 2002, the Citation Mustang first flew on the 23rd of April 2005, with deliveries commencing on the 2nd of November 2005. Since then, the Citation Mustang has seen just short of 480 deliveries globally before production of the aircraft ended in 2017.

The Citation Mustang’s 1,050 nautical mile range and short field performance capabilities make it perfect for city-hopping flights of two hours or less. It is also very popular as an air taxi aircraft, used for connecting larger international airports with local airfields, allowing passengers to reach even closer to home.
